MotorCityMusician
Eesh. Seems like a pretty steady chance of thunderstorms from 6pm on.... 3 rainouts in a row for stars would suck...
rainshdw08
Well...the line of storms/rain is moving east near the Illinois/Indiana border associated with cold front, not really cold, mainly just a wind shift. Dew points pooling a bit ahead of the front. We'll have to see how this plays out. Right now, I'm thinking more heavy rain than severe storms. All the the rain and enbedded thunderstorms are elevated and should remain that way, which means the rain will be steady with rumbles of thunder here and there. BozzlyB
I feel really bad for the performers if they have to deal with another rain out. Blue Stars have a great product and have to be anxious to be competitive with it. C'mon weather Gods!
MotorCityMusician
Draw a sun turtle. Rain turtles always worked when people drew them. Maybe the opposite works.
THeShadeOfNight
Blue Stars with three rainouts, and Bloo having performed ONE show this season would be absolutely stupid. Hoping for good weather.
DrumManTx
I'm shaking my rain stick, doing my rain dance, and thinking everything rain so it comes down here and not up there, we need it right now. lol
oldsoprano
I think the greatest threat from rain outs is not to the competitiveness of the individual corps, but to the fiscal health of the show's sponsor. It costs so much to put on a show that the show sponsor usually depends heavily on a big walk-up crowd buying tickets at the gate. That can often be the difference in making money on a show or losing a substantial sum, and if it's raining -- or even if it just LOOKS like rain on the afternoon of a show, that will have a hugely detrimental effect on day-of-show ticket sales.
