JKT90
Every time I see a drum line video before a show there are 2 uniformed members standing behind them at parade rest. What are they doing? It's the only corps I know that does this.

JKT90
Subs? I don't think so. There are always 2 of them...some sort of "guard" perhaps...? Edited August 5, 2014 by JKT90

JKT90
Drum Majors I think. Thanks. They have on the maroon jacket in all the vids I've seen, including last year...Interesting if true the DM's hanging with the drum line, they're usually with the horn line helping conduct. chris ncsu
During warm-ups for the show, I think the DM's are only truly needed when they play a few specific warm-up pieces (Hymnsong, Rocky Point, etc.), and even then sometimes it's just Gino doing that. Otherwise, they're largely seen at relative attention/parade rest near parts of the corps.
