2014 Drum Corps International World Championships World Class Finals

Recommended Posts

Guard has taken off their suit jackets. Sabers up front with the drums while the flags surround the giant time clock prop, which has now started "tripping", if you will, along with our first member in the colorful uniform. Sabers join in the color parade.

The corps is selling this show, something that is not easy to do because of the design issues. They've come a long way since Akron, that's for sure!

Star Children. Trumpet trio up front on microphone, not so much for the amplification as for the reverb/echo effect, one of the many things Don Ellis is known for utilizing.

They got rid of the chanting at the start of Open Wide/Niner Two. I kind of miss it, but it was hard to make work.

Say what you want about the program, these Scouts perform the hell out of it. They should be performer over book in almost every caption.

EDIT: And as I say that, it all goes south. Wow. Never mind.

Love the blue rifle/quarter note equipment the guard uses during the closer.
