Kamarag
Of course, this DCA Championship will be talked about for many years to come. Despite, on its own, the Cabs' penalty having no bearing on determining the eventual winner, it will long be remembered, because it could have. I admire Tom Argy for making such a courageous call. Hey, if an infraction is right there, it should be called, I think. That could not have been an easy decision by Tom, but the man's been around a very long time, and he was obviously paying close attention to the action, as we all should expect of him. Congratulations, Tom Argy. I think it was a really terrible call, and he should not have made it. This wasn't Bushwackers in 2005 gumming up the entire entrance for Bucs or Renegades blatantly and intentionally violating the boundary. Being around a long time doesn't excuse ticky-tack calls. He sure did seem to give Govies a pass for jumping the gun (literally, in this case).
Jeff Ream
true, it is not memorable and thus why noone talks about it. I encourage you to watch it again. I did. I've watched 03 a zillion times. I've agreed with it since the moment it happened
Jeff Ream
you guys could just hire me instead. If you wish to write for DCW, contact Steve Vickers at publisher@drumcorpsworld.com. He's always looking for writers. And with the possibility of a three year old coming to shows with me next year, writing may not be possible

It should have been a fine instead.
Jeff Ream
Gil had to sign off on it
Kamarag
Assessing a penalty sucks. I hate doing it with band and indoor but rules are rules I would agree if all penalties were assessed every single time, but that's not how it is. Heck, it wasn't that way this year. Bushsop89
I would like to know how many times at finals, a group has leapfrogged another to win it all. That's a great trivia question in honor of the 50th anniversary.
