beatmaker751
If I could hit the like button 500 times on the OP I would. Bravo!
HornTeacher
Johnny never could play staccato on a soprano. Actually, he can. But only on one note.
31rabbit
2012: Dada Poetry 2013: Modern Formalist Opera 2014: Classic Italian Cinema whichever show is based on the least-accessible non-musical (or at least multi-media) High-Art wins. surprising we didn't go pseudo-intellectual earlier. so... Carolina? Inferno is kinda freshman year classics, but i think it's as esoteric culture as we get this year. thank goodness Music From a Major Motion Picture Based On a Best Selling Novel stepped up and won in 2011, otherwise the M of FA's would be on quite a streak. BRASSO
The irony! Johnny One Note--Colts 1986 Yes, in addition to the '86 Colts, BD played " Johnny One Note " in both '81 & '89. Bluecoats played it in 89 as well. Also,( in the DCI era )... Americanos ( '74)... North Stars ( of Canada ) in '77... Maurauders ( '87).. East Coast Jazz ( '94 too). Lots of DCA Corps have played it as well. Thats a lot of Notes from more than One. ( haha!)

MikeN
BD's 89 Johnny One Note is still my favorite single track from drum corps ever. (Hey, if we're going OT, let's go full bore...) Mike
HornTeacher
Getting back (in a general sense) to the OP... Actually, the best place for NON-Pseudointellectualism is sitting for an hour, enjoying the morning cup(s) of coffee, in the campground store at Bass Harbor Campground in Bass Harbor, ME. Just an outsider among the "locals." The only "pseudointellectual" thing in the place is the outsider sitting and counting the number of times the word "Ayuh" comes up in that hour of conversation. Luckily, the outsider also is intellectual enough to realize that it really doesn't matter -- just enjoy the experience.
