July First greetings...

Recommended Posts

A bit of trivia ... in 1976, Etobicoke Oakland Crusaders and the Seneca Optimists who were both from Toronto were in DCI Finals. I think that is the only time that two corps from the same city made Finals.

Thanks! It is a picture of a beer koozie that you can buy to support the 27th Lancer Foundation. And thanks again, I really miss my drum corps alma mater as well.

And their horn guy is now Bluecoats long time horn guy.

Dave MacKinnon is awesome! He has been with the Bluecoats since the Ventures and Dutch Boy folded. He spent some time with the Patriots as a consultant too.

And apparently you and I marched against each other. But you also marched with my friends Andy Wickstrom and Sue (Templeton) Deschene, and worked with my friends Joel Alleyne and Bob Stewart, so it's all good, brother!

Joel Alleyne was one of DCI's most fun and and animated Drum Majors of any DCI Corps ever, imo

I couldn't agree more, even if he still denies putting his hat on the U.S. Open eagle trophy in '75 (or was it '76?)!
