I think people look too much into the raw numbers when they should be looking at spreads and rankings against another corps IN THE SAME COMPETITION. Doing anything other than that is misinterpreting the judging system. The judging system is based on ranking corps according to a box system with specific criteria. It is specifically designed to be relevant between different shows. There is a significant difference between box 4 and box 3. The fact that the judge couldn't accurately identify the composition and performance markers to make that distinction is a clear indication that they were not properly trained by DCI.
