MotoSurfBass
Today's performance time was based on last weekends scores? Shouldn't have Surf gone on before Cascades? Last week's scores, split in groups of three, random draw among those groups of three.
goodmello
Today's performance time was based on last weekends scores? Shouldn't have Surf gone on before Cascades? they draw for time slots in groups of three... So like even though a corps could be ranked 1st, they could draw the performance slot of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
idrum1998
Today's performance time was based on last weekends scores? Shouldn't have Surf gone on before Cascades?I'm pretty sure that they based it on that, and then every three groups drew to see what order those three would go in, i.e. BD Bloo and Crown drew for the order of the last three spots. goodmello
I was just geeking out a bit about that band body the hornline just did. That was great!
shofmon88
I'm pretty sure this Surf hornline kicks the snot out of their hornline last year.
MikeZ
I'm pretty they based it on that, and then every three groups drew to see what order those three would go in, i.e. BD Bloo and Crown drew for the order of the last three spots. And I'm guessing that since Pioneer did not perform at San Antonio that they were locked into performing first. That meant the first group of 3 was Cascades, Crest, and Surf. goodmello
The light blue plume and wave on the front of the shakos are just to much... I like the more traditional uniforms... but those two pieces don't work for me.

DrumManTx
Didn't want to unload, so I'll keep it brief. I didn't think it was possible to suck all the fun out of Surf. That's what this show did. They could have done so much more for a show called "Ebb and Flow" to make it fun and standout, while being a little more serious if that was their goal. Instead it seems like a show you could call "Another sea show with La Mer". Performing it well, but these last few years it seems like they can't find a middle ground between being really fun and something that can compete. The giving show was well intentioned but really dull, last year was over the top, but fun, and this year is back to 2014. Academy has taken that torch and ran away with it. No reason Surf couldn't do the same. Performance might keep you in front of Pioneer, but definitely not the show. Just being honest.
