xandandl
I'm surprised no one has noted and commented on this thus far: With Atlanta out of the Dome and shrunk (more corps the next day at Wake Forest), with Denver, Palo Alto, and Minneapolis missing a number of usual suspects and major players, this means that there will be no "national standard" publicly set until July 22nd in San Antonio. Unless of course, the identical full slate of judges judges all corps in the same captions on the same weekend wherever the corps perform; even then proven wisdom is that scores at two different shows can not be adequately compared due to a variety of factors (personnel, weather, sight lines/field conditions/echo factors, etc.) That the national standard is set so late hasn't been very common lately although it has happened other years.
