Why is it that the majority of corps have not announced their show themes, songs, or anything? Is it a strategic move? As an alumni and fan, knowing this information would be nice. Welcome to DCP as a new poster, and 'hope you enjoy your visits here. This topic has been discussed on a thread below, ( ' why so secretive on shows ? " ) with various reasons cited for this relatively new trend in DCI for DCI Drum Corps to keep their fans in the dark in the off season. And yes, fans, alums are noticing this, with the prevailing sentiment, although not universal, that this is no business model to retain and then grow a fan base in an activity that is, at best, flat lined in national fan growth. The " Cone of Silence " appearance has been present all off season long, imo. The " Cone of Silence " is coming to an end.. and not exactly how Corps envisioned it, or so it would seem.
