Horn line just whipped off a nice 16th note run.

Horns doing a nice side to front move for added visual to their dynamics. Now playing backfield and building up to the big impact of the closer.

And another company front, this time half time for added effect.

And, as the corps leaves the field, I just realized the lamps were lit up. That will look great under the lights.

Our last corps in the first block of performers is the Columbus Saints from Columbus, Ohio. Here is their 2019 program information, courtesy of Drum Corps Xperience:

So, remember how my iPad was overheating in the direct sun?

Here in the shade, I wish I had a sweatshirt.

Columbus Saints were originally scheduled to open Prelims when it was starting at 4 PM. With the schedule change, they ran into issues as their busses were scheduled to take them to Williamsport this morning, not last night. DCA kindly moved them to the end of this performing block to ensure the corps was able to get to the show on time.

Pre-show pit music while the corps moves on the field.

Opening statement. This is a much smaller corps than those groups which preceded them, so every member has to play to their fullest so the corps has the impact they’re looking for.

Saints also have a keytar in their front ensemble. I prefer to call it by it’s other name, the gitboard.

Second movement. Bass drums play the rhythm of what was the string part in I Write Sins, Not Tragedies before the horns come in on the melody.
