Drum major with a killer hair flip after she salutes and removes her helmet. Brass opens the show before the salute and backfield. Euphonium soloist on one of the props gets wheeled to the front as they play.

Big sound as the corps turns front!

Conductor has that hair reveal down perfectly.

I have a special place in my heart for this year’s Phantom. Their visual designer, Jacob Taylor, grew up in my hometown of Richfield, Ohio, graduated from my high school, Revere, and is a fellow Glassmen alum.

Thought their designer was Steven Estudillo, formerly of Pacific Crest.

What a sound from the brass! So nice having JD Shaw back as arranger.

Great control from the brass as well, showing great dynamic contrast without any individuals sticking out during the volume changes.

That’s cool. Trombone soloist is held up by two guard members and moved around while playing for some visual effect.

Horns are POWERFUL!

Nice walking bass line by the tubas.
