People are pretty quiet during the actual performance, because there is so much to watch and listen to. at the end, though everyone around us was on their feet. Very few corps have gotten standing ovations during the performance, Cavaliers, phantom regiment and crown come to mind. I think the ballad is strong enough to pull a standing O, but it finishes quiet so that tends to discourage it versus for example 2017.
