Russellrks
My vote goes to '75 SCV, but I'm partial cause I got to watch them every single day that summer. I'll never forget the snare line would line up after every rehearsal on tour and march a one mile roll. I guess you could say they had chops! Does any line do this kind of stuff anymore? SpainFlojo
WAY too many to list, but I'll toss a few out there from each respective corps. Star 93: anyone can play loud and clean...it takes real talent to play with intensity at the dynamic levels that these guys did. Vanguard 98: SCV percussion at it's finest. Cavaliers 2000: End of the opener, FF triplet roll in a rotating box...go see it now. Cadets 2000: These guys were so good, the sections would alternate taking days off during spring training. Holy Bass. Blue Devils 97: This show was designed for a nasty drumline; Judges and fans rejoice. AND JUST FOR FUN! Glassmen 02: Possibly the most entertaining battery charts ever conceived. Drumguy25
The best drumline EVER was 1996 University of Illinois Marching Illini Drumline....stop laughing...we had 8 snares 5 tenors 5 basses and 10 cymbals! All the snares and basses were all vets of at least 2 years going on 3. The tenors ALL marched corps, and the cymbal line was 5 vets and 5 freshman!!! That was the CLEANEST line i have ever seen!!! IT WAS AWESOME! :)
