The Black Pirates and their brother corps, The Black Marauders and the Black Knights, continued their dominance with their latest shows in North Carolina and California.

The Black Pirates won the Glendora, CA show by nearly two points, while The Black Marauders won the Div II competition by 1.3 and The Black Knights won the Div III competition 2.5 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

All three corps are on their way to Indy to get in 3 or 4 rehearsal days (and maybe a free day!) before the show there on the 15th.

Congrats, gentlemen!

Kosmos decided that July 10th was the perfect day to debut our new closer, Navras, and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Kosmos won the Fort Hood show to record their first victory of the year, with their mind-blowing "focus drill" being the highlight of the night. At their victory concert, Kosmos brought back a modified version of their old closer, Mr. Roboto, and rocked the stands some more. Our staff and members have been struggling to connect with this show, but it looks lit that's now finally happened, and Kosmos is once again a contender for the DCPI championship. Be sure to see what tonight's show brings. You might just notice something slightly "different" about the ending ^0^

The Sons of Thunder finaly had their winning streak broken. It was done by Soundwave in Dubuque, IA. The Sons of Thunder had an impressive streak of winning their first 15 shows.

We would like to congratulate Soundwave on their victory in Dubuque! Good luck the rest of the way!

After a week or two of uninspired performances, with scores to match, the Oakland Skylarks were finally able to regain the feeling of winning. The YogiBoo have been a hard team to beat in that time, but the kids were able to get that edge back and finally beat the YogiBoo. Then this new corps the WongBong came out of nowhere. Well guess what, we beat them by .1 points.

Our kids are happy that the hockey theme show is really starting to jell and hopes that this will continue on until the Finals.

BTW, Pioneer's recaps are still not up. I know this effects a few corps. The question is how much? If they aren't up today, the the scores will stand. When they do, then the recaps will only effect the generated scores.

YogiBoo will be back in style within a few shows. The corps has obviously had a long string of wins, but was suffering from exhaustion and burn out due to the rigourous schedule. After a much deserved free day that is coming up, the corps will hopefully return to their winning roots.
