Kamarag
After careful consideration, I'm not sure Crossmen will have representation in the theater show. Now, that's not a rip on Crossmen, as they are one of my favorite corps (especially '97). I just think that there are going to be a couple of shows that get so many votes in each decade it might keep Crossmen off the board... Lancerlady
You may be right cause people are not understanding how to do this to their advantage. If they pick one year for their corps and do it instead of picking alot of years for their corps they'd have a better chance instead of the years like I see some pick Madison 4 or 5 times...it doesn't matter how many times they need to pick one year for Madison, but that will be hard to do. I know. I think you know what I mean. But like I said in the other forum this won't be the last time they do it so if corps don't make it this time. DCI said at the meeting they want to continue to do this as a "History" lesson for the kids of today as well. Especially if sales do well... so no worries. :) Edited January 23, 2005 by Lancerlady

Hopefully over time, ALL corps on the ballad box will be seen.

Russellrks
Any way DCI can post a running tally just to make things a bit more exciting?
notelvis
Any way DCI can post a running tally just to make things a bit more exciting? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be cool. It would be nice to see which corps are getting votes even if they don't get the big screen nod. Wouldn't it be nice to see some shows from corps that are no longer with us....like 74 Kingsmen or Bridgemen. How about North Star in 1980 or Guardsmen....or Kilties (the junior corps version....I love the Kilties senior at DCM and DCA.) But back to the Crossmen question. I would like very much to see them on the big screen. I have another vote coming with my 'alternate' email address. I just can't decide which Crossmen to give the nod to........I've narrowed it down to these three; 2000 Crossmen 1992 Crossmen 1981 Crossmen.........a show that was supurb......maybe it will get some love. GMichael1230
David, I gotta agree on 81 Crossmen, the OTL "Implosion" (??) was excellent and you cant go wrong with "Bustline" I remember being on the field with them in a small show "American international open" or "VFW nationals", I cant remember, I do recall they won, Rivermen were second, and Alliance was third....... ~G~

They gave each of us members a T-shirt that said "Crossmen 1981 VFW National Champions." I still have mine. I do remember in VFW prelims we didn't take it serious because there weren't other top 12 corps competing....boy did we get reemed out by our staff! Needless to say, our finals performance was much better! b**bs
