craiga
I believe CONQUEST was played every season from 1969 to 1990, with an on-the-field encore in 91. That would make it a closer for 22 CONSECUTIVE seasons, if I have my facts straight! ....talk about tradition!
goalieguy
Hey Mike....How about 1977 Garfield "I Don't Know How To Love Him" complete with rifles joining in on soprano for the hit and of course the vocal "Amen!" "...For Holy Name shall always be!" :) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> George: ABSOLUTELY !!! After seeing DCI on TV, I got to hear it up front when Garfield came to Minne for VFW that year....still think they got hosed with the penalty, but that was MAAH VELOUS!! How about the "Star Wars" warmup also?? Pat
George82
Boston Crusaders : "CONQUEST" any year, but 1983's "My Guitar Gently Weeps" intro and 1989's "Whiter Shade of Pale" intro were both cleverly crafted, IMO.From the Music soundtrack of "Captain from Castille", starring Tyrone Power and Caesar Romero, composed by Alfred Newman, 1951. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I too love "Conquest! However, perhaps some true old-timers can back me up on this.....wouldn't Conquest be considered more of a "re-entry" as opposed to an "exit"???? BobB
Troopers, mid-late-60's ('66??), "How the West was Won"---partly for the music, mainly for the way the full-corps company front came together as they headed for the end line. RobH
George - if my alcohol-induced memory serves me right, Conquest was played by BC as far back as 1967 - and was just perfect for their opener then! I'm pretty sure they played it in 68-69 too! And for my Plaid Brother Bob B - yes, Troop did How the West Was Won just about every year from 66-70 and probably beyond! (unfortunately I missed the years after 70-!) Edited February 8, 2005 by RobH
