Notice the "updated" design on the traditional theme on the flags, and "modern" guard uniforms ? By seasons end this show and corps was on fire. They were not rewarded, in my opinion and should have placed much, much higher. ~G~
Tansea
This is a great shot. Those are the guys that made me want to play tympani. But, what's up with the slacker bass drum line? We used to have a more or less unspoken rule that if the tymps don't put em down, nobody puts em down. Those guys were bad a@@e@!!! It was an SCV thing to toss their tymp legs before going out to the field!!!

That's a big bass drum for sure...I remember that! Playin' those Marty Hurley charts... There's also some big '70's style hair under those helmets, too!! I believe that's Keenan P. right in front of that bass drum with the cool Sammy Hagar look going there. Pretty cool back in 1979!! ::flipping through my photo albums to find my pictures of me and my mullet/feathered hair style back then:: b**bs

GrewvyG2
Looking at the hats (pre-tall shakoes for the corps, busbies for the guard), I'm thinking it had to have been in the mid-'70s; 1975?Edit: Ah, ha! This picture is on corpsreps.com, and it says 1976! Small internet ey...I sent that pic to corpsreps....Here's another that I didn't send them.
