There's no Sr. corps near you? Or is it lack of time?

For me...nothing driectly related to my corps experience...just age.

When I'm the DM it's mostly in my shoulders from weaving the arms...on the field it's usually my feet...arches start killing me, but only going backwards during basics...during actual drill theer's not really that much fo a problem. Every so often my lower back twinges, tho.

I wish we had been a lot smarter about using hearing protection back then. Between drum corps and playing drum set, I have suffered some hi-freq hearing loss and have tinnitus (constant hissing in the ears), although it's not too bad. I always use hearing protection when I play now.

CODI's comments on skin cancer are right on. We never used sun block back then either. I hope it doesn't show up down the line.

Constant problems with my shoulders and knees.

My shoulders because I was in colorguard and waved a flag.

Knees because I marched for over 20 years with a mid life (drumcorps life) crisis of water on the knee due to marching.

How about permanent scars? :P

I got two of them. Thanks to drum corps. :)

Hard to say what is "marching in time" and what is "marching of time"

Knees are shot... too much time on them...I know exactly what you mean Lancer Fi.

Back has a mind of its own...asphalt doesn't have much give.

Bottom of my feet are generally numb.

Palms of my hands have Always had calluses... now now, rifle work you know.

Carpal tunnel

Pre-cancerous spots removed.

How fun it was!!! ^OO^ ^OO^

Knees. Mine were bad when I marched, and neither marching nor age has improved the situation any!
