JimF-LowBari
Few weeks ago I sold a late 70s booklet on corps. One part of the booklet talked about the Cadet corps (aka Feeder corps) championships that started in 1977 or so. Seven corps competed that year. So, where are we at now with the Feeder corps. Only corps I know of now are Blue Devils B (is BD C still around?) and SCVs feeder. Are the rest gone and what do any remaining feeders do for performing or competing. s/ Fan of the little corps.... jwillis35
Not sure if Phantom still has their feeder corps, but I am pretty sure the Colts still have a feeder corps. Jonathan
mobrien
Cavalier Cadets were folded up after the 85(?) season, and all the resources were plowed into the A corps, which turned out to be a smart decision. The Kiltie Kadets went the way of all flesh sometime in the early 80s. Madison Jr Scouts combined with Capitolaires to form Cap Sound. Phantom Legion (PR's feeder corps) were folded after 98 (?) or thereabouts. Don't remember any of the other midwestern CCI corps, though I know I'm missing a few... PeeWee
To the best of my knowledge: Blue Devils B Blue Devils C Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets Colt Cadets Phantom Regiment and the Madison Scouts use to have feeder corps as well. I'm sure there are many "unofficial" feeder corps out there, like the Crossmen for The Cadets, etc.
danieltenor
At the DCEurope we still have a very competitive Cadet Class competition, and there are a lot feeder corps in Europe!
GWFrog
Howdy! Blue Devils BBlue Devils C Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets Colt Cadets <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In addition to those four... Blue Star Cadets became a wind and percussion ensemble in 2004... (Read: parade marching band... :P ) But continue to be the Blue Stars cadet corps... Although Bandettes went inactive in 2005... The Bandettes Feeder Corps continued to do parades... ^OO^ Also inactive in 2005... :( Joliet Kingmen have always been... A cadet corps without an "A" corps... With kids aged 10-18... The school-sponsored corps... Blue Saints and Hawthorne Gold... Are probably in the same category as Joliet... Cadets with no "A" corps... 'Til later... Kinda remember the initials CCI(?) Cadet Corps International(???) PS - Jusr realized I have a Kiltie Kadet and Jr Scouts (Pink Panther) pin in my collection (thanks to eBay). Tsar Nikk
Phantom Legion was folded after the 99 season to help pay for the Khaki uni's <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow. THAT was a good decision if true. :P (I don't think it was for that reason, though...)
