fourouttheforty
Cadets, hands down. Who would have thought (and pulled off) putting in that kind of beat into a ballad. I like Crown and the Cavies too.
bssop97
Crown for me, I like what they where doing on the field to it more then Cadets with Dancer in the Dark which is a close second.
Minimaster
Cadets, hands down. Who would have thought (and pulled off) putting in that kind of beat into a ballad.I like Crown and the Cavies too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The percussive beat is in the original piece of music. GMichael1230
Blue Devils - If we were in love, 1989. brilliant, breathtaking and it doesnt get much better than that. ~G~
ChicagoFan
It's a toss-up for me between Crossmen and Crown, but the edge might go to Crossmen. I also enjoyed Colts and thought Pioneer had a really nice ballad -- there just wasn't enough of it. Just as you began to become emersed in the music, it was over. cadets54
I'd go with Crown - it was really well staged (and played) BUT IMO a tad long.So - the execution and staging of the Cadets ballad had me misty-eyed finals night. That was amazing. SO - verdict is: CADETS <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would have to agree with you George on your pick of the Cadets. I was also misty-eyed at Allentown and Giants Stadium. Overall I thought the Cadets show was just amazing and how they pulled it off! 1st pick: Cadets 2nd pick: Crown
Triple Forte
a lot of corps this season had beautiful ballads. i personally think that glassmen had the prettiest ballad. i also liked cadets' ballad. it doesn't have to be top 12, out of all of div 1, who had the best ballad. based on your own qualifications for a good ballad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ooohh........this is a tad tricky..... Cadets and a VERY close 2nd Crown....... Crown really had the most difficult ballad.....lots of releases and attacks for the brass....and I dont recall hearing a single bad attack all three nights....amazing Triple Forte
BennyASU
Cadets 2005 is one of the best ballads ever in my book. The intensity just builds and builds, the brass is unreal, and the percussion work really makes the piece great IMO.
