torn8o
I'm curious with the whining about the drumspeak...If there was an Internet in 1984, would you all have crucified VK's drum line for their 32 count intro to their drum solo that year? "Choo choo chaaa....digga dat!" Or Freelancers for their beautiful sung intro to "With You I'm Born Again"? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uh huh and also Star of Indiana in 85 with their Mickey Mouse song that the whole corps sung. Yeah, Turner hits it on the nose with that one. Edited September 6, 2005 by torn8o
Michael Boo
Gee thanks a whole lot Mike. My computer is shorting out on account of you.***dog gonnit I need to stop drinking soda when I'm on the cumputer because you never know when it might shoot out your mouth (and nose) and go everywhere*** <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, the Pepsi Syndrome. Sort of like the China Syndrome but with projectile Pepsi instead of melting nuclear core rods and computers shorting out instead of entire area codes vaporizing...but the similarities are staggering. Glad I could help you experience this phenomena first-hand. Many hear about it...few live it.

Brassop
These hypothetical musings used to go something like: " Yah right. Trumpets in drum & BUGLE corps?! That'll be the day" " Dude are you on crack?! This is drum corps! They'd never allow amplifiers". " Relax. The 2 dancers are just a compliment to the guard. " " Woodwinds would mean the demise of drum corps. DCI won't let that happen" Folks, expect a DCI name change soon. They know it's no longer drum corps as do the former droves who no longer attend shows. Oh the days when whole crowds would ...
