JimF-LowBari
Hey, I like that picture from 1981. So the Renegades weren't the first ones to use megaphones on the field. Interesting........So who else has used megaphones? Now I'm curious. Matadors used 'em in 1980 also for the 'Rocky' Intro. I have the 1980 DCA recording and you can hear the crowd go totally ape stuff even with the corps playing. OK, I was there and I one of the people screaming. Still a thrill after a quarter century....
Fran Haring
Matadors used 'em in 1980 also for the 'Rocky' Intro. Their soloists absolutely kicked ### that year (and pretty much every other year, too!) Fran
JimF-LowBari
Their soloists absolutely kicked ### that year (and pretty much every other year, too!)Fran Only time I saw them that year was Prelims and Finals at Hershey. Soon as they were done at Prelims I looked at my watch to see how many hours would it be when I could hear it again. Ahh those days of Prelims and Finals on the same day. Interesting........So who else has used megaphones? Now I'm curious. Didn't SCV mellos also use megaphones? In 2004? Also, couldn't help but notice the inimitable percussion judge Bill McGrath (wearing his patented double-harness cassette recorder holder!) intimidating the Doormats (oops, I meant Matadors) :) percussion battery in the photo of them at 1981 DCA Prelims. Question: Was Jim Centorino shirtless in that photo? Jim PS BTW I'm just lovin this Bush thread!! :)
The Oz
Everytime I see this forum title - my brian keeps processing it as, "The 'real' reasons George Bush messed-up." ... blah blah blah something about Fran... etc etc. You have some guy named “Brian” to do your processing? Cool! Maybe the people at the front of the line suffered from dyslexia Did you know that dyslexia is an anagram of daily sex?
