KevinSop85
Arizona Academy has had two in a row now. Although they havn't been to championships yet. I bet they will be sweeping all competitions next year.
Jeff Ream
in the AL/VFW days, anyone besides cavies 61 go all the way that we know of?
Blue Devil Legend
1975 Madison Scouts came in second at Midwest prelims, But won the show that night. So that makes them udefeated. Same could be said about my '77 BD's, our only loss was at DCI West Prelims.
MsBusDriver
Speaking of "close" '73 SCV 28 wins and 1 loss to Troopers at Milwaukee the "Big V" ...that loss was by .1 ...ouch
JazzCat82
DCI era:1982 Blue Devils 1994 Blue Devils 2000 Cadets 2002 Cavaliers That is it folks!!!!! :) Not an easy thing to do....that is for sure!!! Here are some corps that came close: 1988 Blue Devils 1995 Blue Devils 2003 Cavaliers 2005 Cavaliers I'm sure there are more of these!! 2003 Cavaliers finished in 2nd in 5 shows (Indianapolis, Allentown, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals). Not as familiar with other years, but I would guess there are quite a few 2nd or even 3rd place finishers with a similar season.. dc oldtimer
in the AL/VFW days, anyone besides cavies 61 go all the way that we know of? To be honest, I don't think so. That's why we have held 61 in such high regard. In the days of East vs. Midwest, it was difficult for any corps to go on the others "turf" and win. VFW Nationals in 61 were in Miami FL. Sort of East but not Mas., NY or NJ but east none-the-less. Another reason why 61 was such a big deal.
From The Pressbox
1975 Madison Scouts came in second at Midwest prelims, But won the show that night. So that makes them udefeated. I have to disagree with this. A loss is still a loss no matter if its a Prelims,Finals or any other show. It's still considered one show. DCI Midwest Prelims--1 show. DCI Midwest Finals--1 show. Yes, they cam back to win Finals--which is what matters, but the fact is, they still lost the Prelims show. In 1983 Garfield 1983 won every show until DCI Prelims where they finished 2nd. The next night they won DCI Finals. Would you still consider this an undefeated season because they came back and won DCI Finals? By your criteria, it was still all one show--DCI Championships. I'm not looking for any battles here, I just was curious on your thoughts. Maybe my thought process is wrong--which it usually is. Go Undefeated in the 2005-2006 offseason Devils, Gregg w/Stp:

Go Undefeated in the 2005-2006 offseason Devils, Gregg w/Stp: The almosts, and only 1 or 2 shows lost is not an undefeated season. And, as far as I know, prelims is a separate show to see who gets to make it to live another day or in the early days to live into the night. It's logged in as a separate show! It's still astounding (only losing a prelims show), but there are very few who win them all, and those few should be set apart from the rest! w/Stp: usual disclaimer!
