MaxwellNotes
Madison Scouts 1987 in St. Louis, just as they hit the company front in Stars and Stripes Forever a huge lightning strike lit up the night sky! They should have written that into the show!! It was great. Of course a few seconds later it was downpouring on the corps.
MaxwellNotes
For a very unique and effective company front, I propose the one the Bridgemen did in 1980 - playing "Glory, Glory Hallalujah!", and moving the front forward (ever so slightly) while on their knees! How many other corps have "marched" a front forward on their knees??? :P :P :P Go Bananas!!! yeah good moment. Sky Ryders did a kneeling company front in their west side story show in 1987
madalumni
My favorites are: 84 Garfield 88 SCV 95 Madison 91 Star 96 Cadets Special mention. At the end of Madison's 1980 opener, (They're playing our song) the guard sets up a large triangle as the hornline forms a company front behind them. Right when the front moves foward, the entire guard does this amazing unison rifle toss followed by a series of double-time spins. The whole thing was flawless and my jaw was on the floor! tubamann
Spirit of Atlanta 1990-Gone With the Wind The closing push at the end of the show An eighty yard company front with the hornline wailing on Tara's Theme..it was a moment that corps fans had waited on for years..gotta admit the kids from GA came thru. :)

ScribeToo
There have been some unique company fronts over the years. Favorite: Cadets 87. Form it, scatter, then reform it right with the last chord. Unbelievable! b**bs Runners Up: Star 91. Just the way they got there. Madison 95 and 04. They form a vertical line, then rotate to horizontal. SCV 04. The ripple thing was pretty cool. I'll have to dig it out when I get home.. but 2003 Spirit had perhaps one of the most perfect company fronts (not to mention emotional..) I'd ever seen in my life.. and I managed to get a photo from someone of it.. I couldn't believe my eyes. I'll see if I can get it posted tonight when I get home. Jeffe77
I remember showing the Star 91 show to someone who is not into drumcorps and watching the company front form out of nowhere, just blew him away to the point that he is now a drumcorps fan. So from an execution, "holy Sh&t, how they do that" standpoint, I say Star 91. From an emotional standpoint, where do I begin, some of my favs are: 88 & 89 SCV 92 Cavs 04 SCV 75 Scouts 96 PR
DCIAGEOUT
Star 90 gets passed up so much cause most of the videos go to the pit then the battery right when the front builds. If you have a friend with the star dvd's, borrow them and take a looksy at that ending. Gotta love it.
