spiniki
I never got to march junior, mainly b/c I didn't know anything about it. This year, at 23, when I learned what I could be doing with my not-so-free time, I grabbed a highschool color guard friend and made her teach me so I could join. I played flute for 8 years and tried brass a few times. Brass doesn't work for me, and I kinda wish it did b/c we really need some more horns this year! sburstall
If you count that '91 Royal Lancers as a competing senior corps ('90 for parades), then I would have been...::getting out calculator::...24 (23 for '90). '01 Crusaders (real DCA corps) would have made me 35.
TomMoore
I was 35 when I joined the Buccaneers in 2005, and turned 36 in the middle of the competitive season, during the Lewisburg weekend. It was my first experience as a member of any drum corps. And an amazing one to boot! :)
Altoid Shirley
I joined Guardsmen Cadets in 83 when I was 11-12 to be with my friend who played a french horn. I was there until the summer of 85. 20 years later I joined the Kilties in 2005 at the age of 33-34.
st8smenguard
I was 8 when I started drum corps (Jr. = St. Ignatious Girls/New Image) I was 12 when I became an "official member" of the New York Skyliners, 11 if you want to count the year I was "support/pick". And if you want to go back even further, I was 5 when I started in a parade corps called Bill's Boys.
stacysquire
I was 17 when I joined Empire Statemen in 96. It would have been sooner but our high school had a rule that you could not march drum corps until you graduated or you would be tossed out of their music program. For a music major that is a big thing. So I waited. Had I known then what I know now, I would have told them to #### off. lol I was 8 when I started drum corps (Jr. = St. Ignatious Girls/New Image)I was 12 when I became an "official member" of the New York Skyliners, 11 if you want to count the year I was "support/pick".
