Smoothy
I was twenty-five when I joined the Chicago Vanguard in 1986. I just completed a 4 year hiatus after 13 years of junior corps. I joined the Govies at thirty-five and am still there at 45.

jvona
I was 32 with a wife and 1 year old son at home when I started travelling two hours three times a week to march with the Empire Statesmen in 1995. The first quote from a staff member, "you're 32 and a rookie, are you nuts?!" (Jimmy Steele). After my first DCA Kurt Powell said, "all those years with Squires in your backyard and you finally marched drum corps."
