dbc03
Self explanitory, what is the highest you have placed in DCI competition (championship week)? I'm just curious to see where the majority of DCP finished in their DCI careers. Edited June 4, 2006 by dbc03
Slow Adam
I'm somewhere between a Division II/III finalist and medalist, so I chose finalist...though the people I marched with like to say we were 3rd.

SoonerFan04
I'm confused, is the Div. II/III Metalist 1st-2nd-3rd? Or those that get "medals" (Top 18 this year, Top 12 got Grand Finalist pins), since technically 1st is a World Champion, 2nd is a Silver Metalist, etc. Also, Div. II/III Finalist....Div. II/III Divisional Finalist (Semi-Finals, Top 18th) or Div. II/III Grand Finalist (Finals, Top 12)?? Anyway, I leave for everydays tomorrow so I doubt I'll see the answer/explanation in time so I went ahead and put Div. II/III Finalist. As for the various versions of Div 2/3 finalist, take your pick because I honestly don't know that much about how that all works
raphael18
Are we talking finals placement - or at a major regional... Also, for those of us that did div 2/3 and div 1 - are we going to get into that caveat of which one is worth more? My div 3 group got 3rd, and my div 1 got 4th...so who's to say. Regardless, they were both two of the best summers of my life.
byline
1978 DCI prelims: 17th place. (I won't count Canadian Nationals, where we placed second in Open Class in '78 and '79.)

Also, no offense to any 2/3 corps, but 4th in division 1 is better than 3rd in division 2. For me it gets fuzzy when you're talking about corps that don't make semis compared to the 2/3 champions, but generally div 2/3 corps would not place higher than maybe 14th in div 1 (Magic 02 excluded). As far as "worth" goes, I don't think placements have that much to do with the worth of a summer, and this poll isn't about what placement is "worth more." It's a purely objective poll about where you finished.
