msjbass Posted June 18, 2006 Share Posted June 18, 2006 Yes - I'm a member of White Sabers and this will be a biased report. I was VERY proud of the hard work by ALL sections this weekend. The heat was unbearable, but that goes with the territory. The corps WILL be ready for the first show on July 1st in Rochester. The sections are beginning to really blend and work together and the drill is coming along very nicely. It's a pleasure to work with such a fine bunch of hard working people. We're all in it for the same reason, and THAT is what makes it all worthwhile. Anybody - in any corps - KNOWS the hard work that EVERY PERSON puts in to put on a performance for the crowd. Win or lose, it's entertaining the crowd that matters. That's what keeps this activity going (IMHO). I applaud every drum corps and every person in each corps expending so much time and energy every time they practice and compete. For someone of my advanced age (cough, cough) I just enjoy that I'm still able to contribute. I'm really looking forward to a great drum corps season. I'm hoping the energy we've shown the last two camps will continue - I see no reason why it won't. There - that's just my two cents.
