People from my corps still look up to me 20 years later. It's not that bad, cleaning up the bathrooms. Other corps members are just as young as you are. And they're friendly as all get out.... just not on the field. SCV members are big fans of Spokane Thunder, etc... Sometimes, a tornado DOES come in the night. Instructors are just as fritzed as we are, although they're not actually marching. It's possible to push out the very back window of a bus and watch it sail away on the highway, until it actually crashes on the pavement. Teenagers are one hormone laden bunch (can't get more explicit than that) without their "every other day" privacy. Bus window!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I cared so much for each and every member of my corps. Yeah, one of our busses had that big window in the back (instead of the usual wall that's there nowadays). And one day, driving down the freeway, it just fell off, sailed in a nice turning motion for about 200 yards, then smashed to bits on the freeway. It was surprising, to say the least.
