RaiderCrusader
as far as 2002... not that i'm biased or anything, but we (BAC) were told by many-a-judge that our section was the best in DCI this summer... nice warm sounds... as for all time... PR 96 was very good, but I liked 97 better... I can't imagine the best PR contra section being the one year was Birdman wasn't there. If you know who he is then you know who i'm talking about. Jeremy Emerson
I've always heard that Blue Devils 2001 had the best tuba section... ever. Edited March 24, 2003 by Jeremy Emerson
Dave
Oy... I'm sorry, but I categorically refuse to say "tuba line" or "tuba section" in a drum corps. Regardless of key, they're contras, dang it!

TerriDitt57
'91 Star Lots of Blue Devils contra lines. Hard to pick just one.
Dave Scott
1981 Sky Ryders I'd have to agree with Erin, the '81 Sky Ryders had a great contra line. In fact, the entire horn line was outstanding! Mainly because of John Simpson, their brass caption head (and Erin's father).
