SteenAZ
In No Particular Order 2003 - I my mind the greatest music book ever put on the field in DCI history. 2005 - Just thinking about it makes me smile 1996 - Greatest opener ever 1993 - A complete package 2005 - Loved the music so much that I can forgive the drill and guard. 2006 - Hard to put into words right now. If it doesn't win I'll survive knowing that it will go down in history as a near perfect example of what a PR show is about. ps - Let's start a "Guys in the PR Guard" appreciation club. membase
1993-The Modern Imagination...and of course, this show includes the immortal Fire of Eternal Glory. For me, seeing this, it's like time stands still as they lay down their helmets, and the melody is first played by the euphs. With the rotation from backfield, and the ensuing crescendo, (7:41), this "tribute to the fallen" grips me every time! I was sitting in the 10th row at Finals in Jackson. In 20 years of watching drum corps, this is probably the most memorable live performance I've ever seen. And I agree, Fire was the climax of the whole show. My top 5 Phantom Shows... 1993 - see above 2006 - I like this show more and more each time I listen 1989 - Also saw this finals live...a very good case can be made that they should have beat SCV 1996 - Phantom won by being pure Phantom 2003 - Got Phantom back up to elite status Edited August 1, 2006 by membase

The Tsar
1987 - First show of theirs that really "gripped" me. 1988 - An underrated show. 1989 - I don't think I need to say anything else. This show forced me to march Regiment. 1991 - My rookie year. A beautiful (if slightly dirty) show. 1993 - My favourite year to march. An adventure all the way to Finals. 1996 - Dark, deep, Shostakovich. A triumph. 2003 - Welcome back, Regiment. We missed you. Thanks for this whopper of a show. 2005 - "Hey guys, we're back...and we're not planning on going anywhere." 2006 - Clean this up, and this could rank as one of the top Regiment shows ever.
