Tony L. Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 I will say that based on my viewing of Crown tonight, I can completely concur with the judge. Crown was absolutely searing tonight! And I believe it was the best visual performance I've ever seen a Crown corps have. I'm actually shocked that their guard score wasn't a little higher. They are really locked in on this show now! It is easily one of my favorite shows of the year. I can't wait to see it again in Madison. I'm actually a little shocked at where the brass score for Crown was tonight. I would have had them above Scouts and a lot closer to the top (Cavies actually had some issues tonight that make it difficult for me to believe the score they received for brass performance. Mellos during the ballad were really off tonight (sounded like they forgot to tune). And the trumpets had some real intonation and ensemble issues.
