ContraRich77
Just wondering: Are the San Francisco Renegades the only active Open Class DCA Finalist corps to achieve finals in every competitive finals contest we have entered? AlbionNY Drum Line
Cabs?
Senagod
Cabs? I just broke out last year's program, and you would be right. Cabs have been at finals in all but one of the DCA open class championships. They didn't compete in the first championships. According to that program book, Cabs holds that record over the Hurricanes (cut in the 86 and 89 prelims) and the Bucs (cut in 94 and 95). arbitraria
you can add the bushwackers to that list...they've been a finalist every year since they started fielding shows in 1982.
kevingamin
you can add the bushwackers to that list...they've been a finalist every year since they started fielding shows in 1982. They don't qualify, but Empire Statesmen have performed at every DCA Finals they have attended. '83 and '84 were exhibition performances as they were the best non-Finalist corps from Prelims. Statesmen have made Finals every year since then.
Bob Kidd
Ummmmm, why doesn't Bush qualify?
Kay
Ummmmm, why doesn't Bush qualify? I think he was talking about the Statesmen, not Bush.
Bob Kidd
He was indeed talking at the Statesmen, after he said "they" (meaning Bush) don't qualify. And Bush does qualify.
camel lips
Only Contra Rich can answer this,,but I think he means since the begginging of the formation of the corps. In other words,,after declaring open class,,,what other corps have made finals the very first year they came to championships and have continued to make finals? TomPeashey
Don't you love statistics... you can invent a category for everyone... :-) Bush has made finals in every championship they have attended... as have Renegades... there are no doubt a number of short termed corps Like Phoenix in 75 & 76, who made finals on each of their limited number of attempts... It would take some research to figure out the list... suffices to say that Cabs have the consistancy overall... Bush has been amazing since its inception and Renegades... well what can be said... considering geography and all, just an great success story... all I can say is "7"
