SaraNYC
Is that up near Dave Painchaud's place? Wow, I was informed that he lives at 72nd and 1st, which is like a block from the accident. I bet he was freaking out!!!
Geoff
I was pretty sure he was close. I was out at his place in July. Wow.
bigmyq
You see what happens when the Yankee's don't win? I'm sure Steinbrener drove him to it...
drumcorpsmama
This was the third plane crash to take the life of a major league ball player. First I recall was Pittsburgh Pirate great Roberto Clemente, second was Yankee captain Thurman Munson, and now Cory Lidle. God Bless Cory and his family Annie To bigmyq: You are the cat's meow!!!!!! SaraNYC
Moderators, please remove this idiotic, insensitive piece of crap. While it is a tragedy, even in NYC the jokes are starting up already. Especially from the Mets fans. So relax.
bigmyq
Moderators, please remove this idiotic, insensitive piece of crap. LOL - Good stuff. Glad to see you can't take a simple light hearted joke. ...must be a Yankee fan. ^0^
SaraNYC
LOL - Good stuff. Glad to see you can't take a simple light hearted joke....must be a Yankee fan. ^0^ Well, you know it's all a conspiracy to keep the Yankees in the NYC newspaper headlines. Plus that Dave guy we are talking about is a Mets fan, so I think it was a Steinbrener hit gone wrong!!! ^0^ ^0^ ^0^
tubajoe
All cool here. I'm about a mile from there, just north of Central park -- and to be honest I never noticed it, until my downstairs neighbor called. Naturally, it sparked a twinge of anxiety in some... Looks like an unfortunate accident (and I still wonder why they let planes fly over major cities at all...) The wreck was actually fairly close to the Mayor's Mansion. (even though the current one does not live there)
