rut-roh
Yeah, and anyone who had predicted Scouts would come in 8th in 2003 would have been crazy too, right? Good catch. Madison did indeed go from 14th to 8th in one season....just a few short seasons ago. So the Crossmen going from 15th to 9th is certainly not an absurd concept. Stranger things have happened. Silver_King
Reason 4- The Camp reports from San Antonio have been incedibly promising, and coming from someone who has seen the Crossmen this winter, they are doing very, very well. I have heard nothing about the Scouts, other than very low audition numbers. according to this then CC and BD are going to so bad because you haven't heard anything from them. Bones758
according to this then CC and BD are going to so bad because you haven't heard anything from them. No. Their whole staffs havent quit. If the whole Crown or BD Staff's quit then people would probably place them lower. You can only make predictions from what you have heard. People have heard good things about crossmen people have heard bad things about madison Hence people predicting that the Crossmen will beat the Scouts. Its really not that hard. txtubadude
1) Phantom - continue climb and take it finally 2)BD - Will go back to trumpet solos (although the tuba solo was nice) 3)Cavies - GE on Billy Joel is a little hard to do as compared to 007 or Machine 4)Bluecoats - come on strong again 5) Cadets - Great show along with top 4, toss between 3-5 around all season 6) SCV - keep it up, clean some more 7) Crown - take care of some issues which helps place them over... 8) BK - SOS (same old $h!t) 9) BAC - always a great performance 10) JSU - step it up another notch and climb over scouts 11)scouts - major changes have them trying new things, works, but not well 12) Colts - finally get the credit they deserve and creep into finals 13-14) Crossmen or Blue stars - Blue Stars set up all the books while Crossmen bring a clean powerful show 15) Glassmen - pushed out of top 12 for dirt and design, not the kids fault at all 16) Academy - could top Glassmen, but first yr jitters get them 17) Mandarins - stay put, but clean more, unis help again 18) Cascades - get some OC staff, improves and cleans 19)Southwind - bring up a great show, just need some cleaning dont know where to place 20 Troop 21 Pacific Crest 22 Esperanza 23 Pioneer

oldtimedrummer
what are the bad things that have been heard. I want to here these. I have not heard one bad thing yet. 1. The entire management and instructional staff left. 2. Small audition turnout 3. One returning vet in the drum line 4. Spring training has been bumped back a week....(I really don't understand this) I'm not trying to be the bringer of doom, but you asked the question. These are facts I know to be true.. I hope the Scouts overcome these things and have a great season. I'm looking forward to seeing the Scouts and how the organization responds. Their book sounds very interesting and different. Maybe they'll be just fine, who knows. Regardless, these issues raise some questions in peoples minds. Regardless, these issues raise some questions in peoples minds. 1.There new staff are alumni and know what being A MADISON SCOUT MEANS. 2.The guard did not have auditions yet so there is a chunk out of the numbers. 3.That doesn't mean the new ones did not march another corps. they could also have talent that know one can explain. 4. Where did you hear this. If its during Marchish I understand why.
