SaraNYC
I predict I will make some inflammatory comments on my blog about it one way or another. Probably about the administrative, competitive and organizational improvements that need to be made in the current DCA structure. Some people will agree. Some people will get ###### off. Some people will laugh. I will end up being right irregardless. ^0^ ^0^ ^0^

SaraNYC
Is that a word? See...it's starting already. It is a nonstandard adverb of regardless. It is a blend of irrespective and regardless.

SaraNYC
In other words, it's wrong. ^0^Your Kentuckiana grammar will be your downfall! BWAHAHAHAHAHA For starters, it's a Vintucky dialect. And I say how can a word be wrong if you can find it in a dictionary. Needlesstosay Evan Morgan, I shall prevail. Irregardless of your Yankee ways. DrumCorpsLives
2007 DCA Rules Proposals1.) The Southern corps want Finals down south. 2.) The Western corps want Finals out West. 3.) The Midwest corps want Finals in the Midwest. Why? There wouldn't be much of a turnout of fans to watch. Not as many corps would or could attend so competition would be down. All that would equal less $$$$. Nah, I don't think the West/South/Midwest corps want that. Least not in the very near future.
kusankusho
Canadians or snowshoes? :P Both - Canadian corps have been to DCA many many times, and to learn your drill in May up here you needed snowshoes (pre global-warming....) :P
randomnoise
Hey guys - At this point, none of the answers on this topic are serious. Travler - DCA does not publish the rule change proposals to the general public. The majority of the voting members of DCA (corps directors, not DCA board) feel that these things should be kept private. In one way, they have a good point - there are a great many proposals, many of which are duplicates or things that will die quickly. Others are very controversial, which, as we have seen, is not something that these folks are willing to deal with (controversy, that is). Having seen the proposals (I am one of the folks that can be called DCA because I have a vote - for now), I assure you that we will have lots to talk about at the meeting this weekend! PS I want Finals in Amsterdam - not out here! Edited January 8, 2007 by randomnoise
