Buddy Holly
http://www.collegehumor.com/picture:1733853 just thought it was slightly humerous, and it seems that alot of people still dont know what DRUM CORPS is.
Matt_S
Heh, I had that same thought when I saw that drill for the first time. Well, I still have that thought. Pretty phallic, no doubt about it.

whystarwhy
...and it seems that alot of people still dont know what DRUM CORPS is. Is this surprising to anyone? Drum Corps ranks pretty high as far as "closed markets" go. Although the ESPN2 thing was a good move, they have a while before public awareness will be increased. In a related instance, I was discussing drum corps and someone said "oh neat, I was in drum corps," to which I asked "really, which one?" This person's reply was "my high school, it was so much fun!" If some marching band folks don't know or see the difference between what they do and what corps do, how can we expect non-musicians to see it just based on a few commercials? Back to the topic...I think its funny that "outsiders" noticed the phallic properties of drill that many of us have known about for a while. mchromik
George Zingali was famous for his 'phallic forms'. We used to play a game of how many we could pick out of his shows.
jonnyboy
As a psych student I always laughed at how many breasts and penises some people can "find" everywhere. Heck, I had one Prof that showed us print adds and was trying to point out all of the subliminal stuff. I just thought she had boobs on the brain, because that lady could find sex organs every where she looked. So, is it a neat design or a picture of a male sex organ, that is up to the viewer to decide. But I have to say that if you keep seeing ##### everwhere, maybe you need help.
