Jeffe77
1993 SCV had 6, might have been the smallest SCV snareline. Oh BTW Phantom Regiment 93, 94, 96 marched 7 snares
Puppet
I count 11. A really good battery, and the worst visual program I'd ever seen from a corps that good. CYMBALS... Cymbals WOW! Anyway, here's my vote for absolute smallest snare line. Brassmen 1971. From left to right John Oddo, Mark Holub and Frank Nash. I know Frank is a Hall Of Famer, but John and Mark might as well be - All great drummers, teachers and more importantly mentors. Kudos from Puppet! Fastone
Nice uniform stick heights. The man we played for (Eric Perrilouix) was a stickler for precision in everything we did. He turned good players away from the line if they couldn't get "The Look" or play with the quality of sound that he required. I cherish all that I learned from him. SomeOtherJoe
Here's a picture of Spirit's GINORMOUS battery and tiny pit from Whitewater 1981. Seven triples, seven basses, six cymbals, twelve snares with mounted bongos, and three pit. That, right there, should be the standard battery size. :P What's funny is, a quick check of the recaps shows they placed 3rd in execution yet 8th in exposure. How do you march 12 snares, 7 tenors, 7 basses, place 2/10ths off the top ex score, yet place 8th in exposure? Someone have a head scratchin' smiley?
