raphael18
I am surprised that people are counting out Cavies...seems like they were saying the same things about the Bond show in '04. Actually, mine kind of said the opossite of that. It said that lots of people expect them not to do well, but that no matter what they will place very high by the end. Yes, people said that in 04 - and yes, the show turned out amazing. However, people also talked up Cadets before 04 (it was mixed, but largely positive I think)...and it didn't turn out so hot imho. GMichael1230
I'm hoping for Troopers and Blue Stars to be battling for 12th. I want Spirit to finally make the move up the ladder. I'm hoping for an SCV/BD battle for the top spot. Madison battling Regiment for the top four Continued awesome shows from Crowna nd Bluecoats. The Glassmen continue to impress me. A no-narration/singing Cadets shocking us all and setting the pace. Dont look for the Cavaliers to take step off the pace. ~G~
Elmo Blatch
Top 3 surprises for the three sections of the season include: Out of the gate: 1. Troopers--will score 3.0 to 3.5 points higher than first show out in 2005. 2. Arizona Academy--will have an advantage of being a surprise corps. 3. Crossmen--will have to come out strong in order to keep the hype, but will manage. (Honorable mention: Spirit and Pioneer) By the mid-point: 1. Blue Knights--gosh they got scary at the end of the season. 2. Santa Clara--if any corps can turn it around by the mid-point, its SCV 3. Cavaliers--receiving a lot of flack, Cavs scrap Joel and dig out the Planets :P In all seriousness, I think that they are the only corps that can turn this program into something fantastic. (Honorable mention: Glassmen and Blue Stars) By the end: 1. Bluecoats--have been phenomenal in Finals week over the last five years. I can see a medal. 2. Cadets--George has a way of bringing out the best of each member at the end. 3. Crown--I expect a top 4-5 finish for this corps this year. (Honorable mention: Madison and Colts) Notice, the orginal poster typed "surprises;" not who would finish on top. Elmo Blatch

PR_ducky
I would say Bluecoats. They always seem to start strong. I will never forget in 88 when at whitewater they beat Regiment, Star, and Cavaliers. Was an early season wake up call LOL
raphael18
I would say Bluecoats. They always seem to start strong. I'm guessing that their staff is going to be careful to try not to peak to early again this year. A good corps, but for them to move up in the ranks someone else will have to come down - and that's a tall order. For some reason their show concept keeps making me think of Cavaliers in 04 when they had the 'spys' running around having the gun fights.
