JamMan
Congratulations, man, I'm sure you'll do a fine job. Bakersfield and Pasadena? Way to go! :) Just remember the cardinal rule in drum corps ... Strange pronunciations? I've heard a few. I swear in '05 I heard 20 different pronunciations of the Spartan Show. You could tell which announcers had been forced to sit through 50 replays of the Disney video, Aladdin, with their kids and grandkids. Those were the few who could actually say "Vizier" like they knew what they were talking about. Speaking of the Spartan show ... how do you say "Tarot" ? Does it rhyme with "carrot" or "arrow" ? http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/tarot

CrunchyTenor
DUDE!!! As if it's any different NOW??? Hey man--I may need a personal assistant. YOU UP FOR IT?? Dang! I just caught up to this! Like a spotter or something? A producer with a direct line to your earpiece? Would I have to know all the players by number? The ol' one-two punch? PhilSCV
Congratulations man. I'm looking forward to hearing you. Now, just a small word of advice. When announcing the Oregon Crusaders, it's important to pronounce the state's name correctly. It's often mispronounced "Ory-GONE". But alas, it's pronounced "ORYgun". Tip of the day. Ryan H. Turner
I thought it was the "Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic of North Northern California"?? Actually...thanks for all the tips, both here and privately (cough cough). On the OREGON bit...I have ALWAYS pronounced it "or-UH-guhn". Apparently that's not right?
