dc oldtimer
Wow....she marched some GREAT programs!! sorry 'bout 87, tho... Yep, she loved the shows she marched in. She was in the guard but loved the hornlines for 85 and 86. After listening to them again some time ago (it was required for us to get married :)) I was reminded how great they were. BTW, please vote for Suncoast next year for the Classic Countdown. (In the marriage contract) Edited May 14, 2007 by dc oldtimer
gmencontra
Let's see.................. My Father and Mother in-law met in Spirit 79. My Sister in-law and Brother in-law met in Spirit 2001 or 2002. And I met my wife in Corpsvets. (I marched Glassmen she marched Spirit) I guess you could say that is a drumcorps family. :)

dc oldtimer
I want one... ^OO^ There are two school's of thought here; 1) Marry and non-DC person and you can enjoy it yourself 2) Marry a DC person and you can both enjoy the activity together. Some of my DC friends who married non-DC people, enjoy the time away :) I enjoy having my wife next to me at shows. We have very spirited conversations about our differences regarding drum corps

Brent
I met my wife in the University of Minnesota Marching band, but our relationship flourished in drum corps. We were engaged on the field at DCA finals during 1991 in Scranton, Pennsylvania; complete with fireworks!
