GGarrett
Mid-70s nothing, we did that show in 85 and won it in 86! Only time we had to stand for inspection, and the pit was on the reviewing stand about 20 feet off the ground! My brother was there in 85 and he yelled out "Tom! This is a show from Mars!" b**bs You did tell me that before Tommy... I forgetted! Crazy! No way could the drills of today work at that show... ea1974
wow... cool! How 'bout the horse racing track in Springfield, IL (IL State Fair) in the mid 70's where you had to do the whole show as baby steps! Rifles banging into snare drummers...contras backing into walls... baritone lines leaning back from the waist to keep the bells back. genius! (and true!) Forgot the Wisconsin State Fair show on the race track!!!!!!!!!!!!

We did a show there in 77 or 78. Big wind during a rifle toss. Lots of wood on the ground afterwards. . .
MikeD
The Shrine in Toronto. Always the first big show of the season (around mid-June) and held at Varsity Stadium.... one of the true beautiful old classic stadiums...gone now :( ...but you still can't walk past it's location without pause. Yup...liked marching that one. Also...the World Open in MA was a fave. NJ VFW and AL States...not because of the horrible Maxwell field, but because they were held in Wildwood! Always had a great weekend at the beach and on the boardwalk...and oh yes, interrupted by a competition and parade. :P
garfield_cadets
I have to give props to Atlanta, that has turned into a great show, about as good as Birmingham ever was...but there were some awesome shows in Birmingham.

Made many good friends in many corps that way...Ahh wildwood...
