raphael18
Actually, SCV's show was the unfinished show. Even despite that, they got boned tonight. Much better in EVERY (yes, I do mean EVERY) aspect tonight. Well, it takes a couple of showings before you can pull the upset like that - there is are basic assumptions that take a lot of work to overcome. You know the old adage - you have to beat them by .5 to beat them by .1 on the judges sheets.
AZ_fan
Thanks to everyone for the great comments. I really hate to miss Precision West, ESPECIALLY with the 50th anniversary alumni stuff happening this year so it's nice to get a feel for how the night was (COLD!!!!) ;) It'll be quite fun for EVERYONE to have a little back-and-forthing between the BLUE and RED teams this year. It certainly makes the drama more intense considering the West Coast finals location too! GO DRUM CORPS!

ToneDeaf
One more thing, did anyone notice that at the beginning of the Mandarin's show, there was some wierd sound? Were those sounds coming from the sticks? I don't know how to describe it.. And no, the sound I am talking about was not the helicopter flying by at the same time. I heard the sound too and I believe that you were hearing the wind through the mics. At least that what I thought it was.
