shawn craig Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 This is a real possibility. As great as the horn line has sounded the last few years, this one is the best yet. They were really loud and powerful but with such great support from the contras, richness and fullness of tone, blend and good intonation. I think everyone in the audience, including the National Anthem Choir of which I believe most were new to drum corps, gave them a great ovation. I'd say the second best of the night. The show is lighter and more fun in design then the last two years with great playing. Their quality gaurd is doing well already and I'm sure there's plenty more to come. I don't really see how Crown can make Top 5 this year when everyone has already picked BD/Phantom/Cavies/Bluecoats/Cadets/Troopers/SCV/Academy to win it :P . Maybe so, they have set themselves up to have a good week as the next two shows they perform in are home shows. That would be a first for them to break into the top 6.
