big 07 stories so far!

Recommended Posts

1. scv in contention: statistically firmly in the top 3 after a great season last year, a former champ back in the conversation

2. boston comes out strong: great first show score-wise, esp. considering the usual conservative "first read" by the judges, maybe a dark horse for top 6?

3. colts solidly in top 12: despite a couple of relatively weak musical captions colts seem to be well established in the top 12 with corps beneath them seemingly all on the bubble, esp. with a few corps still to come out.

5. scouts struggling early: most captions out of top 12 at the moment but, "never underestimate the heart of a champion!"

others, troopers looking at semi-finals and being a dark horse for finals despite inactivity last year, blue stars being the higher ranking of the 2 wis. d1 corps, pacific crest and mandarins faring well head to head with d1 dynasties scv and bd

sorry, espn is ruining my life... :)

SCV beating the Blue Devils this year. Nice job SCV

Troopers beating the Scouts tonight. Wow who would have thought that was ever possible.

Not to say that they're going to, I never count out the Scouts, but it could get pretty interesting in Racine Wisconsin tonight.

Boston strong out of the gate. That certainly is no surprise to me. I would love to see the Crossmen come out of the shoot firing off a score in the 70's, that would be cool.

I don't understand why you're posting last year's scores.

Well, I think it's sort of a way of saying It's early season and this has happened before. Nothing's new and things can change.

Boston was contending for top 6 out of the gate last year and fell to 10th. Colts were firmly in the top 12 at first, and then finished 13th.

Anyone see Boston yet? Curious as to why Carolina Crown whooped them in CG. More complete show?

Biggest stories: Return of the Troopers!

Madison's slow start - don't poke a snake with a stick!

Carolina Crown's strong start.

SCV continues to make strides after their strong finish last year.

Can't wait to see scores from Crossmen and Academy - either one could be a big story!

Noone is solidly anywhere until we see some regionals with everyone competing together.

I've said it once, I will say it again...I'm not sure why ANYONE is surprised that Scouts are having a rough go at the beginning. It just seems that history repeats itself all-too-often with this corps, and I hate to offend any Scouts alumni or fans, but this corps always seems to find a way to self-destruct when things are looking ok. Sal Salas, the administrative, AND design/instructional staff was one of the hardest working, most dedicated and CARING staffs I have ever been a part of, and then a few overzealous members of the "board" decided to, in my opinion, destroy the forward progress of the recent success on and off the field. In a day and age where it is a fight to get in even the Friday night show, I don't believe 9th place is not a great reason to panic. So, after almost virtually the entire staff quit because of the poor decisions of the board that took over, I'm not following why ANYONE is surprised they not coming out in "winning fashion".
