cf144
Wow - great to see Dan's name on that list. I marched in the Crossmen Tenor line with him in '85 and he was always a blast to be around.
ajlisko
Mickey Kelly's bio is a bit understated in terms of his influence on drum corps ... IMO, it was his vision that caused a paradigm shift in in color guards, first with winter guard in the foundation years of WGI and then applying their expanded performance level to "on the field", tremendously helping the visual aspect of shows ... his impact on drum corps is right up there with the Hoffman's, Shelmar's, Pace's and other icons of the activity ... Well done Mickey!

Well done Mickey! While this poster and I don't always agree in the past, this time he is completely on the mark! Amazing that whoever wrote the bio inserted Cadets but failed to mention his legendary time with the Skylarks CG. It's with that unit that Mickey made his national name and led so many to respect his talents and abilities known even now for his tapes from the judging booth.
