So who thinks Boston's show looks much better from a higher angle? I think this was the trend in last year's show; the props looked terrible from a lower angle, but looked a lot better up high.

Kinda wish the uniforms had last year's coats, but colored cream. I wouldn't mind that.

I guess performance order wasn't a big deal after all for the Academy! That's a tough act to follow if you're the Colts.

Unfortunate to hear about Surf. I have a friend from high school who's marching there on contra in his second year. If there's anything positive that I can say about Surf, it's the uniforms. Quite possibly the best ones they've ever had!

If it makes you feel better, I was at a wedding last week. And the couple's wedding cake looked like a replica of one of the Cadets' props (I'm not kidding, it had silver icing and it was layered almost exactly like the props).

I'd love to see them give the green "formals" a test run after tonight. They looked great in pictures and on parade!

Or any part of Texas, for that matter.

After last night's TOC show (and yes, we know, the scoring was a bit wacky), tonight should be really fun!

I think it's just a matter of the judges getting used to what's on the field. I always use the "rule of two" when determining whether a change in the show works or not. If BD's new "ocean" is not well received my the judging community again tomorrow, then there is reason to believe that the change made may not work in the long run.

Third, actually. The first was in 2007 in Centerville, the second was 2015 prelims but only because of BD's penalty. So technically, it's the Bluecoats' second.

Just last year, the Cadets beat BD (the last remaining undefeated corps) in Minneapolis on July 11. Cadets were not undefeated themselves; they lost to Bluecoats in Akron on June 20.

Recaps for the Top 3 are insane. .1 of each other in Visual, .25 for Music, and .3 in GE!

Any experts know when the last time BD got lower than 2nd in a show was? Methinks early 2011. (Not counting Prelims last year, of course.)

All I know is that she consistently puts BD in 1st in whatever caption she is judging.

So Little Rock is the only non-Regional in which Academy and Boston go head-to-head, huh? I'd feel a lot better about Academy's changes at that show if it weren't for INT stepping off in between.

Did anyone watching the Troopers notice any major changes? That's a big score bump for having only 2 days of rehearsal after the last show!
