JohnD Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 We're at PAETEC Park in Rochester - getting things ready for a big weekend of DCA Championship drum corps. The stadium crew is preparing the banners on the backfield seating and vendors are starting to position their trailers in the concourse. While there's a bit of drizzle in the air, the weather forecast for the rest of the weekend looks great, from what I've seen. We have a great line-up of guest commentators on-tap for you this year and will be working to get you timely images from both the stands and on the field over the course of the weekend. Of course, the BEST place to watch these shows is RIGHT HERE in the stadium ... but if you can't get to Rochester, be sure to watch our coverage here all weekend. Best of luck to all participants and we're looking forward to some great shows. Things get started tonight with the I&E and mini-corps competition. On behalf of the entire DCP team here at PAETEC, have a great weekend - whether you're on the field, in the stands, or at home and watching here. -john Quote

goalieguy Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 So it's YOUR fault why it's raining here in Rachacha again, eh John? I have a feeling that it will be interesting to see how the DoubleTree survives having MBI and the Renegades in the same building again.. Looking forward to a great series of events again coordinated by the best in the business, Allen Buell and his folks from Rochester. Those of you who will be in town here for the show, yu can find me at the MBI souvie booth both Saturday and Sunday. Stop by and say hello! Pat Quote

JohnD Posted August 29, 2008 Author Posted August 29, 2008 Pat - Minnie Brass was rattling the walls last night in the Jefferson Room .. and they were SUPPOSED to be playing quietly. Everything seemed to be going well - until Roger picked up his horn in the lobby lounge after rehearsal. Seems the security guy has 'perfect pitch' and complained about him being out of tune. Quote
