DrinkinOuttaCups Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 (edited) As far as I know since I've only been to Finals once, after they announce the scores, the winning corps gets to do an encore performance. We all go home. This, too. Edited March 7, 2010 by BugleBand Quote

Phantombari1 Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Did you see the Canadians womens hockey team celebration at the olympics? Mere childs play to what happens. Quote
Grumpy Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Up until 2008, the massed corps would play "America the Beautiful/O Canada", conducted by the drum major of the winning corps. Sadly, that no longer takes place for reasons that were well documented in this forum following the 2008 championship. Some corps will immediately march off the field; there is a lot of celebrating, picture taking, etc. on the field, some corps march off after a brief celebration, others just let their members leave as they wish. DCI in recent years has been more assertive in getting the field cleared after some time for a brief celebration, at which time the winning corps performs an encore of their show and sometimes additional numbers like the corps song. The encore is usually the complete show including drill, unlike the "standstill" encores that sometimes follow shows along the tour. Quote
